About This Swim School
The Milton location is a purpose-built private aquatic facility that has been part of the Making Waves family of pools since 2006. In the summer of 2014 it underwent a major renovation and now boasts a spacious family change room, a large modern viewing area, expanded parking lot and a state of the art UV water sanitation system!
Families in Milton also love the wide walk-in steps for small children and the handy kids’ play area. The pool is also kept at a warm 90 degrees to keep your little ones warm while they learn! Please stop by during business hours for a tour and more information!

MATTHEW DMYTRENKO
Manager, Milton
My journey in aquatics began at a young age when I was fortunate to have passionate coaches and leaders that made a lasting impact on me as I began my competitive swimming career and instilled a lifelong passion for creating safe, fun & educational aquatic environments for all communities. I believe in empowering communities to learn the fundamental skill of swimming & to reap the physical & mental health benefits that come with learning a lifesaving skill. I enjoy sharing my passion for swimming with our staff and families and want to ensure our students are always safe, learning & always having fun!

BRITANNY SMITH
Assistant Manager, Milton
Hey! My name is Brittany! I started with Making Waves in the Fall of 2022 as a supervisor and have loved everything about my experience, from the friendly staff and enthusiastic swimmers I interact with every day! Before Making waves I worked as a lifeguard for 7 years and I can truly say aquatics is my passion. When I am not at the pool you can find me playing many sports including soccer and volleyball. Don’t forget to come say hi when you see me at the pool!

How old does my child need to be to learn to swim?
Learning to swim has so many benefits. Not only does swimming build motor skills, provide numerous health benefits, and improve cognitive function, but it can also reduce your likelihood of drowning by up to 88% in children ages 1 to 4––which makes it a life saving skill. But despite a parent’s desire for their children to learn to swim, a lot of parents wonder what age is appropriate for them to start.
